How do my podcast channel settings relate to what iTunes displays?

Once you have submitted your podcast to iTunes to be included in the directory, it will begin to appear in iTunes using the settings you have chosen in your Syndication manager.  You can change these settings at any time.

Your podcast’s channel information includes all of the information that describes your podcast for the potential subscriber, as well as for the iTunes search and browse functions. The title, author, description, and a few keywords are indexed by the iTunes search engine. Since a high percentage of iTunes users look for podcasts by searching, if you don’t have good, detailed information in your podcast's channel options, your podcast will not turn up in many searches. Or, when users do find your podcast, they may not have enough information to decide whether to subscribe.
